Robert Novotny was born on July 12, 1987 in Port Jefferson, New York. He is the son of Robert Novotny of Coram, New York and Deborah Antolini of Ridge, New York. He went to the Ridge Elementary School and also the Longwood Middle, Junior and Senior High Schools. In high school he was a member of the varsity bowling team and the student council.

He enlisted into the Marine Corps on September 12, 2005 at Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, New York. Robert was trained in a number of areas, Basic Supply Administration Course, Combat Marksman Coaches Course, Breachers Course, Designated Marksman Course, Financial Management Resource Analyst Course and the Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Course. He was assigned to the Weapons Training Battalion in Quantico, VA, where he assisted in the fielding of multiple sniper and high risk weapons to Marine Corps units worldwide and coached entry and secondary level marksmanship training. He was promoted meritoriously to Corporal while with Weapons Training Battalion.

On February 16,, 2009 he was assigned to Task Force East Company at Quantico, Virginia to prepare for an upcoming deployment. Robert was then deployed to Haditha, Haqlaniyah, and Bani Dahir Iraq with Mobile Movement Team – 1 where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. On his deployment he was lead dismount, saw gunner and communications chief for Mobile Movement Team - 1 in the Al Anbar Province. While in Iraq, his mission was to transport International Police Advisors and train Iraqi Police. He also evaluated the prison system in their area of operation and advised the Iraqi Police in their mission to control the area of operation.

After deployment Robert was reassigned to Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan as a 3D MLG Comptroller with the Inspector General’s Office and Travel Operations Chief.  He was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his 3 year tour and impact during the tsunami in Fukushima.  He transitioned into veteran status on September 23rd 2013.

Since completion of service, Robert has been working for the Northwesten Mutual Wealth Management Company as a Financial Advisor.  He is licensed in over a dozen states and has a long reach of connections for answers to any and all financial issues.  Robert is also involved with organizations such as Vets' Lives Matter, Team RWB, and Project9Line to help decrease the suicide rate in our Nation's Veterans.
